Talk:Addons For Dummies
From GMod Wiki
This page is full of lies (you DO need to use an SVN program in order to get the latest version of certain mods, for example), hate speech against new people AND guide writers, and is all around poor. I don't think I need to say anything more about this manure pile of a page. --GreyMario 17:12, 16 July 2009 (UTC)

Redone
I've taken over, so to speak, and cleaned it up. It is easy to read, and there is no hate-speech against anybody. Much better, if I do say so myself.

Updated the PHX links with updated information. --P1cwh0r3 21:35, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
Break Down
This page would maybe be better if it was broken down into a series of articles. This page is really here to help newbies and the instructions for adding mods should probably have their own page. A similar page for adding maps could be created too. I know I had trouble with adding my first maps, and I didn't find this page helpful. --SorryForN00b 13:44, 23 January 2010 (UTC)
No Addons
The only Folders I have in my Garrys Mod Folder are (In order)
- bin
- cfg
- DownloadLists
- help
- lua
- maps
- materials
- media
- resource
- scripts
- settings
- shaders
What do I do? --Adam.gamedev 15:07, 4 July 2010 (UTC)
Experiment
The use of the {{Details}} template is part of an experiment. See User:SorryForN00B/Format for details.
complete agreement
I completly agree with Adam. the same thing is happening with me. I followed your "cleaned up" directions but I still can't understand them, Paroxysm. Could you try to make them easier for us head newbies?
