Primary fire: | Removes collisions between two objects. |
Secondary fire: | Remove collisions on the selected object. |
Notes: | Duplicator will pick up on no-collide as a constraint. |
Brief
Fire this tool at two props to make both props pass through each other. This is very useful for creating complex contraptions and for avoiding the "black hole effect" that occurs when constraints interact in strange ways.
Instructions
- Select an object.
- Select another object.
Those objects now don't collide any longer.

Useful hints
- One interesting example is placing an RT camera inside a Scanner NPC and then welding the two together. The result is an RT camera that gives you a "scanner's eye view" as it follows other players around.
- The No Collide tool is invaluable when posing ragdolls. Especially when the poser want the ragdoll to hold something in its hands.
- The nocollide created is not directly undoable. When you create a nocollide always immediatly remove it by pressing undo. Then when you wish the two objects to collide once more simply weld them together (with the nocollide option on) and then unweld them. This will reintialize thier collisions.
- The secondary fire cannot be undone directly. You can restore collision again by using the secondary fire again on the object.
