Introduction

This is a short guide on mapping for the Dodgeball gamemode, made by sechs. You can find the original thread here.


Mapping

To map for this gamemode, you must create an arena style map using the Counter-Strike: Source configuration. Mirroring the team halves and then retuxturing with a different colour is a good way of maintaining game balance in this style of game whilst having a visual difference between different teams halves of the map. The team spawns are info_player_counterterrorist and info_player_terrorist. One type of spawn for each time. Finally to keep the teams seperate, place a brush across the centre of the map textured with tools/playerclip to keep the teams seperate. It may be helpful to players to mark the boundaries of the playable areas with distinct lines.
