From GMod Wiki
The tone of this page does not meet Garry's Mod Wiki standards. Please rewrite it using an encyclopedic tone. More pages requiring tone cleanup here. Details: None given. |
Use this template to indicate that a page is written in a tone not up to Garry's Mod Wiki standards. This is usually caused by:
- The page uses first or second person ("I", "we", "you", "your"- as if talking to a person) and is not an article with the Article Template.
- The page is not concise- use this template to indicate that its tone suffers from excessive length. If the page covers unrelated or unnecessary information, consider Template:Rambles instead.
- The page uses excessive technical jargon, assumes information not generally known, or attempts to convince the user of something that is not agreed upon as fact.
- Jargon should be simplified. Any user competent in English should be able to understand the purpose of a Garry's Mod Wiki page, even if they aren't able to put the information in use (as in a complicated Lua Example.
- Don't assume the user knows something they would have had to read elsewhere on this wiki. Provide links to all necessary information, and consider providing a brief summary (or section) of useful related information in the page.
- Don't argue within content pages on Garry's Mod Wiki. If something is still under dispute, talk it over on the appropriate talk page. Remember that viewpoints opposite your own exist, and be respectful to the wiki and other users before editing something based upon a viewpoint that doesn't have a clear consensus.
