  1. Don't add empty pages
  2. If you're going to add a page, add some relevent content
  3. Don't put the content in the discussion area. This is for DISCUSSING the page. e.g. what to add, whether something is true, whether it needs more detail, etc
  4. Don't put a link to an empty page on a fairly advanced topic for NEW lua scriptors. There are tutorials on starting lua for a reason...

More detail

Also, this page needs more detail like most of the wiki. It's more of a copy and paste this and that. Don't ask me to add it because I'd have no idea what I'm doing in lua (this is the outcome of tutorials and pages that lack in detail, like this). 76561198021181972 01:21, 14 March 2011 (GMT)

Like the previous poster mentioned, the tutorial does a good job providing a template for a weapon, however it would be a lot more helpful to show how to make the weapon do something. As described in the description shooting chairs or watermelon would be simple enough to give a better basis for understanding. Just my two cents.

'More detail'? There isn't any detail to be found here. It's just like 'paste this here', 'paste that there' and you're done. There simply isn't ANYTHING described on why and how to do something. Even a 6-yo could write something better.

Apparent Code Issue

Maccy F, you stated the completed code doesn't quite work. When I tested before ingame, it appeared to be perfectly functional. I'd be grateful if you could explain the issue, and I'll update the tutorial. Thanks - TheFreeman193 10:40, 18 September 2011 (PDT)
