So, you want to make a ride. Well, now you can, with these simple tutorials!
Contents |
Big Whooper
In this ride, as the arm lifts up, the wheel on the end spins, and the chair that is on the wheel spins IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION!
NOTE: You need PHX for this ride.
- First, go to the "Useful (phx)" tab, and spawn 2 long girders and 1 medium one.
- Now, go to "Construction (phx)" and spawn a 1x1 square.
- Weld the long girder to the square so that it is vertical.
- Go to motor and set the torque to around 4000 (you can adjust this if you think it is too fast) and weld the other long girder to the side of the phx square so that it is horizontal.
- Weld the medium girder to the long, vertical girder so that it is horizontal and blocking the path of the long, motored girder.
- Spawn a circle from the "Useful (phx)" tab. Motor the MIDDLE of it to the END of the horizontal, long girder. MAKE SURE THAT THE KEYS TO USE THE MOTOR ARE THE SAME AS THE ONES FOR THE LONG ARM, AND SET THE TORQUE ON THIS TO MAX!
- Spawn an airboat seat. Motor the BACK of it to the MIDDLE of the circle. NOTE: Swap around the keys for the circle; for example, if you used 1 to spin forward and 2 to spin backwards for everything else, use 2 to spin forwards and 1 to spin backwards.
- Add any visual enhancements that you might want, and you're done!
Viking Boats (by Hypershadsy)
You've seen this ride before at your favorite Theme Park, so why not make it in Garry's Mod?
You need PHX3 for models.
- Spawn two triangle 1x1x1 blocks from "[PHX] Specialized Construction Props". (models/hunter/triangles/1x1x1.mdl)
- Go to "[PHX] Useful Construction Props", and spawn two 1x8x1 blocks. (models/hunter/blocks/cube1x8x1.mdl)
- Find and spawn one 1x1x1 block. (models/hunter/blocks/cube1x1x1.mdl)
- Now arrange them like the picture says, using Easy Weld. Freeze them.
- Now spawn one 1x6x1 block. (models/hunter/blocks/cube1x6x1.mdl)
- Axis your new block on the 1x1x1 block at the top of the tower.
- Put some thrusters on the back of your 1x6x1 block.
- Weld a boat the the side of your 1x6x1 block. (I personally like models/props_canal/boat002b.mdl)
- Weld some jeep seats onto your boat.
- Get in, and press your thruster button!
If you want to make things more advanced, use wire and a time chip to regularly press your thruster button to make your ride automatic.

- make sure that the middle tower now swings freely
wireing
- this part is optinal you can use normal thrusters if you want
- spawn a seat from vehicles
- then using the wire thruster tool (decide waht thrust to put it it detetmines the speed of rotation)put 2 thrusters on onside of the tower at the bottom to make it spin round uncheack the toggle button
- now place a adv pod controller and link to the seat
- wire the A on the thrusters to the w on the pod controller
- weld the seat to the bottom of the tower
