Cleaning GMod

If you have many mods installed, and they're causing instability, you may want to clean your GMod install without deleting all of them. Here's how:
The Clean
Find your garrysmod folder:
- On 32-bit Windows, your Garry's mod content folders are located at C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\STEAM_USER_NAME\garrysmod\
- On 64-bit Windows, your Garry's mod content folders are located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\STEAM_USER_NAME\garrysmod\
- On Mac OS X, it is located at /Users/MAC_USER_NAME/Library/Application Support/Steam/SteamApps/STEAM_USER_NAME/garrysmod/
- which you can reach in the Finder by opening your home directory and navigating as follows:
- HOME → Library → Application Support → Steam → SteamApps → STEAM_USER_NAME → garrysmod
In that folder, rename the garrysmod folder to something like garrysmod_old.
Launch Garry's Mod from Steam, and a new garrysmod folder will be created. You can now copy across the mods you wish too keep from the garrysmod_old folder to the new one.
