Tool | Back |
Type: | Constraint tool |
Primary fire: | Makes a nail, which attaches the object you fired at to the object behind it. |
Secondary fire: | No action |
Notes: | Nails are basically aesthetic welds. |
Brief
The Nail tool welds together two objects at close range and adds a nail model to it.
Instructions
Place an object near something else and fire where the object and thing behind it are the closest.
Variables
- Force Limit
- How much force it will take before it breaks.
Useful hints
- It gives things that rustic rebar'ed look. Hurrah. It DOES, however, have but one unique use. If for some reason you cannot see an object that you want to attach something to, it'd be very hard to find a small microscopic hole in which to place down the first or second welds, you can use a nail to attach it where otherwise it might be impossible.
- You can weld props that are inside of props!
- Gone are the days when you can queue up the first point of a weld, switch to your manipulator and move the prop inside say... The human APC, and then finish the second weld to put it in. Because now the game automatically forgets whatever you've 'queued' up with any tool, this is to stop a few crashing bugs that can result from it.
- The most common contraption made with nails are a fully enclosed Prisoner pod inside a Human APC, making it a vehicle with seats. Because the pod is fully enclosed, the APC model will be transparent and easier to drive.
