Brief
Easy weld can save time for builders creating projects. It can quicken the time to attach a prop to another prop by it not being necessary to align the props with the physics gun first. Easy weld is probably one of the most used and easiest to use tools in Garry's Mod 10.
Instructions
- First, you'll need to pull up your menu. Make sure you are pressing Q, a menu should come up.
- Click the tab labeled Garry's mod, if it isn't already open.
- Under the section labeled "Construction", click on the label noted as "Easy Weld". If you selected the correct tool, the tool weapon will appear in your hand with the text "Easy Weld" scrolling across.
- Now you need two props to weld together.
- Spawn a couple of items from the Q menu.
- Now, click on one of the props. You should see a "ghost," or a more transparent version of the prop you started to weld.
- Now click on the other prop in the place you want the prop to be welded to.
- And finally, move your mouse to rotate the newly welded prop.
Ta-da! You've learned how to use Easy Weld!
Variables
- Force Limit
- The amount of force (in pounds) that it takes to break the weld. If set to 0, it will not break.
Useful hints
- Objects do not need to be unfrozen any more, unlike Garry's Mod 9.
- Easy weld is a better alternative to weld, that is, if you want two props together.
