*It seems that each hover-ball has a height that it tries to achieve and it eases to that height. For instance if you put a heavy object on a platform with hover-balls, the platform will drop initially as it takes on the weight of the new object, but then it will try and go back to its original height, all without the user having to press the "up" key to raise the platform.

* Each hover-ball has a height at which it _tries_ to stay. This means that hover-balls can be knocked around or weighed down and will then attempt to regain their set height. The further a hover-ball is from its height, the harder it will work to get there.

* When playing online, the temptation to attach hover-balls to an airboat and fly around should be resisted as this is widely viewed as the most basic and least respectable form of contraption-making. In fact, hover-balls are largely frowned upon when it comes to plane-like contraptions since they are so easy to use and yield unrealistic results.
