Symptoms/Answers
BSODs
Symptoms
- You get a BSOD mentioning a NVIDIA driver or ATI driver
Probable Causes
- Outdated graphics card
- Overworked graphics card
Solutions
- If you have not updated your graphics card recently:
For NVIDIA cards, go here, or for ATI cards, go here, and finally, for Intel chipsets, (although not good for gaming,) go here. Enter your correct graphics drivers, download them, install them, then reboot your computer. (Make sure you have been to Windows Update recently too.) Does garrysmod still crash?
- If it does, make sure your graphics card is not overclocked in any way. Remove NVIDIA's Performance tweaker, (I'm not sure if ATI has one,) and try Garry's mod again. Also make sure you are not overclocking any other part of your computer, as it may cause instability.

Probable Causes
- Low paged memory

Solutions
- Update graphics drivers. You can do that by seeing this.
- Update windows.
- Close any unneeded processes/prgrams. (Open Task manager, Ctrl+Alt+Delete, then go to the processes menu. Only close processes under your username, and do not close explorer.exe.
- Increase your paging memory, see this facepunch post.
