Brief
Hover-Balls are able to make props float at a set height. A key is chosen to control upward and downward motion, and the hoverball is attached to the prop where the user fires. The visibility of hoverballs can be toggled in the visual settings in the "q" menu.
Instructions
Primary fire places a hover-ball on the prop you are aiming at. When the bound keys are used, the hover-balls move in the direction the key is bound to.
Variables
- Speed (Slider)
- How fast the hover-balls move up or down.
- Up (Key Selector)
- The key that makes the hover-balls ascend.
- Down (Key Selector)
- The key that makes the hover-balls descend.
- Air Resistance (Slider)
- The higher the value, the quicker the hover-balls will slow down once set in motion.
Useful hints
- Each hoverball can lift a certain amount, so on heavy props you will need to use many, or toggle its gravity off using the physical properties tool.
- It seems that each hover-ball has a height that it tries to achieve and it eases to that height. For instance if you put a heavy object on a platform with hover-balls, the platform will drop initially as it takes on the weight of the new object, but then it will try and go back to its original height, all without the user having to press the "up" key to raise the platform.
