Type: | Construction tool |
Primary fire: | Places a button. |
Secondary fire: | No action |
Notes: | Buttons simulate a key on the numpad being pressed whenever they are used. |
Brief
Using a button is equivalent to pressing the numpad key that the button is set to. They are useful if you want other people on a server to be able to use your contraption or if you don't want to memorize which numpad key does what.
Instructions
Go ahead and experiment. Buttons are great for things that other players might want to use like elevators or doors (or traps).
Variables
- Button model
- Changes the model of the button. You can change it between the clock model, a button and a switch.
- Keypad
- Changes the button on the number pad that the button emulates.
- Description
- Allows you to change the hint that appears on mouse over of the button.
Useful hints
- Place the buttons in positions where you can always reach them when you need to.
- Buttons are best suited to contraptions with one or two functions such as an elevator that goes up and down or a cannon that fires - not a plane that requires every key on the numpad.
